Delta Tau Delta was a source of positive memories for Jim Whiteside ’69.
“We were known for being good guys when I was in the house,” he said. “My favorite hangout in the house was the sub suite. Our house mother was Mrs. Griffin. My roommates had the most impact on my time at Illinois.”
He also made the most of social opportunities while he was in the chapter. “My best memory from a house sports event was pledge races,” Jim said. “Mardi Gras was a good road trip story from our fraternity days.
“My favorite Delta Tau Delta tradition that I hope never goes away is singing.”
