Donald was born in Springfield, Illinois and attended Lanphier High School where he played football, wrestled and sang in the choir. Donald was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois and the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Downers Grove for 45 years and was trusted by generations of patients. During his 49 years living in Downers Grove, he was active in Lions Club, the YMCA, and Community Presbyterian Church in Clarendon Hills. He proudly served as president of the West Suburban Dental Society and director of the Chicago Dental Society.
Donald was married to his sweetheart, Lynne, for almost 53 years. He and Lynne enjoyed going to concerts in the park, traveling, visiting the Morton Arboretum, going to baseball games (Cardinals and White Sox!), playing golf, spending time with their granddaughters, and many, many dinner dates. He loved music and was always the last one on the dance floor. Donald loved his family and friends more than anything and he will be deeply missed.
