My name is Reid Butler, and I am the incoming President for the Beta Upsilon chapter of Delta Tau Delta at the University of Illinois. I am extremely excited to have been given this opportunity and look forward to leading the fraternity in the coming semesters. Our chapter hopes to improve our philanthropic presence with JDRF and improve overall member accountability.
This spring, we have multiple major philanthropy events planned, including the following: Deltona Beach (team-based outdoor competition), Mom’s Weekend (silent auction), as well as a new event we are planning which will be an interfraternal talent competition. While these are external goals of our chapter, we also hope to improve the accountability of our members through initiatives that promote living in accordance with our chapter bylaws and nationwide Delta Tau Delta beliefs and morals.
